Was reminded of what I read from CS Lewis
To be a Christian is to forgive the inexcusable, becuase God has forgiven the inexcusable in us.
What a revelation. Very often I find myself making excuses for the wrong that people has done. Being an introverted thinker/analyst, these excuses tends to eat into me. What started out as 'forgiveness', ends up in bitterness.
God wants us to forgive the inexcusable. Not to make excuses for the wrong that they have done.
Don't make excuses. Tell God honestly how you feel. Wait on him to bring about the forgiveness and there you will find release.
Matthew 6:13-15
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'
14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Let us throw off everything that hinders and continue to pursue Our Father's heart. And when called, we'll be ready to stand in the gap and intercede
