Here's an abstract from the mail I sent to the potential members of the Missions Interest Group in BPMC..................Dear all,
Pls pardon me if certain portions do not make sense. This is how my tired mind works, throwing out abstract thoughts..
Missions interest group in my opinion is a group which God has called to encourage each other in our various roles in missions(ie. sender, supporter, prayer, mobiliser, admin... etc) and stir up the interest & involvement in missions in church.
I remember the article in OIKOS where he mentioned that the "M" in BPMC is purposely included in our church name to remind the church of it's purpose.
Maybe I'm dreaming big. But I remember a quote from Willian Carey:
"Expect great things from God, attempt great things for God.”
Looking at the list of names, I do think that God has placed us in strategic positions for His purpose in cultivating missions minded people.
Virtual sounds good! But meeting and interacting and praying with missionaries/ missionaries-to-be is even more exciting.
I recently borrowed a DVD on George Muller and it's just so encouraging to see how God uses the ordinary for His glory.
God qualifies his servant for His job :)
Blogging..... ok... this old timer can set it up. But we need more people to jump in this boat.
This will not be another committee, but I do want a group that spurs each other on toward what God has planted in all our minds.
